Purpose of eshram card? The main objective of making “Eshram Card” by the government is to connect all the unorganized workers under one portal and by giving a new identity to all of them, prepare a database of all of them so that all the workers and laborers get the benefits of government schemes directly.

A 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and e-shram card will be issued for about 38 crore laborers in the unorganized sector, which will be valid across the country. With this initiative of the government, crores of unorganized workers of the country will get a new identity.
